So, Beta Books were a good idea. At least here in the Rails world, we’re starved for good content. The book publishing cycle is just starting to ramp up with several new Rails books due out this year.
Here’s a sampling of Rails books which are only available in beta:
- Rails Recipes by Chad Fowler, published by The Pragmatic Programmers [Beta Books]
- Ruby For Rails by David A. Black, published by Manning [MEAP]
- Ruby on Rails: Up and Running by Bruce Tate and Curt Hibbs, published by O’Reilly [Rough Cuts]
As for me, I am writing a Friday for Pragmatic. They are innovators in technical publishing and they pay their authors well. I have enjoyed working with them.
